Pokemon Red: The Game that Started a Movement

The first video game I received was Pokemon Red with a GameBoy color for Christmas.

That game led to Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon cards and then Pokemon Gold. Pokemon Red still get my attention from time to time. I have not been able to catch all 151 pokemon before.

Pokemon has become a huge franchise that continues making games and selling cards. They also have a successful TV show and a handful of movies.

The Pokemon games have created an almost cult following. Twitch Plays Pokemon has become huge. This is where the viewers "work together" to play the game and to everyone's surprise they managed to not only beat the Elite Four but they recently caught all 151 Pokemon.
